I’m pretty sure modern day modems use quadrature amplitude modulation. That’s also what LTE and 5G use.

Not to sound rude, I just don’t understand the pods with the modem. Shouldn’t the modem just be the WiFi itself? Why do I have to have this extra pod for WiFi to be able to work? What’s the need for it? Does it act like a power line adapter with additional pods? It would be better if the modem that Midco provided us, was one whole unit, and had more than one port, and these pods being something extra, or, use as a power line adapter. Plus, it’s so clunky with the extra cables and everything. The modem/router midco provided before this one, was just one whole thing itself. Sure, WiFi speeds were significantly less. But, one whole unit was nice.

Beyond violet there’s UV, bluetooth/wifi/TV/cellular signals and cosmic radiation, and beyond red there’s IR heat signatures, radar and radio signals. Hearing is how we make sense of vibration waves, and vision is how we make sense of radiation waves.

Unfortunately this video continues to give the false impression that an electromagnetic wave actually constantly goes up and down, up and down, up and down as it travels forward through space. In actuality, the sine wave shape is just a graphical representation of the intensity of the electric and magnetic fields of the wave as it travels through space.

Does one always have to be connected to the hub ?

A splitter may cause signal issues if there are too many splits and no impedance terminators on unused ports. My setup does not use a traditional splitter instead I axed the splitter the service provider installed and put an active rteturn amplifier in it's place which allows me to split the service 9 ways out. Whats so interesting about this amplifier is how broad it is in band coverage so it not only works on cable services but also works to boost OTH tv via outdoors antenna as well.
